I remember a time when being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize was a great accomplishment to be admired by not only the intellectual elite but also the average citizen from around the world. One would have had to dedicate their life and passions to humanity on a level so deep that it would consume their being. A heart so filled with compassion for their fellow man that they could think nor act upon nothing else until the suffering of millions had been eased.
Now it seems, the committee which awards this once, prestigious honor has its own agenda. Let’s look at three American winners. President Carter, Vice President Gore and our Dear Leader President Obama. These three pacifists have collectively done more to harm the achievement of world peace than any winners in history. No, they didn’t kill 6 million Jews or, directly take part in any massacre. Yet through their in-action and/or opposition to action, they have indirectly allowed the slaughter of millions. Ugandans, Somalians, Cambodians, Hutus, Tutsis, Chinese, Serbians to name just a few of the many ethnic killings to have occurred in the last 30 years. The liberal philosophy of “lets go along to get along” has cost the lives of countless men, women and children.
Any of the three could have spoke out and raised the level of discourse regarding these international massacres. They could have led the charge of the international community. Instead, the lack of outrage and courage displayed by these and many other, so called “World Leaders” have allowed these horrors to take place.
If the Nobel Peace Prize were bestowed on those individuals and Organizations who actually sacrificed of themselves to uphold the true meaning and charter of the Nobel Peace Prize, it could go to no other than the U.S. Military. They and they alone have earned the right to be called the “Worlds Peace Makers”. Through their dedication and selfless sacrifice we and countless millions enjoy a life of peace unequaled in human history. In order to achieve world peace, one must be willing to sacrifice world peace on the alter of liberty and freedom.
Obama, if you could find the courage to prevent Iran from acquiring Nuclear Weapons then, and only then would your efforts and sacrifice be worthy of such an honor.
