Common Values

Looking back and contemplating our ancestor’s sacrifices, I am convinced that our values today are not so different from days gone by. My linage in the new world goes back to 1632. John Lathrop a Minister from England had been exiled for his disobedience to the Church of England and ultimately the Crown itself. Suffice it to say that the Throne of England represents Big Government.

The King ruled every aspect of your daily lives including how much you had to eat after he confiscated your harvest to feed his armies. He conscripted your children to be his concubines and soldiers. As a citizen of the Realm you were his subjects. So called, for your will was subjected to his and any minion he put over you.

Our forefathers found this to be intolerable. GOD gave man free will. It should only be subjected to the one who freely gave it, GOD Himself. Once again, Gov't has become too large and too intrusive. The more power taken, the more power desired. Like a drug addict needing a fix, power becomes all consuming.

Our forefathers sacrificed all they had and all they were to secure a future of freedom and liberty. If not for their thirst for liberty and their faith in a Righteous, All Mighty GOD they would not have mustered the courage to fight an enemy of overwhelming force and resources.

Today, we posses the treasure the founders so willingly sacrificed for. The treasure of a free and representative government. A government of, by and for the people. One which still represents the will of the people. Like Christ who said, "No man takes my life, I lay it down willingly,” no nation or foe can take our freedom. We must lay it down willing.

I am not ready to do that, are you? Are you willing to tell your children or grand children that it was our generation who let freedom slip from our grasp? That, we were too lazy or too busy to do what was needed to insure the liberty given to us by GOD stay secure for them?

All that is required of you is to exercise the freedoms that have been given you. Get involved in the process. Look at the issues that confront us and be a part of the solution. Vote! Good men and women died for you to have that right. You dishonor them by not going to the polls. People, we must wake from our political slumber. We must stand for our beliefs in Freedom and Liberty. We must become involved and retake control of our government. Get Involved!
